On December 6th and 7th, we will hold our annual Alternative Christmas Festival. In our sanctuary we will have on display over 500 nativities from all over the world. They are in a variety of materials, styles as well as origin. Also, we have our Alternative Market which features among other things Equal Exchange Fair Trade chocolate, coffee and tea. These items can be purchased separately or as part of a gift basket. You may also design your own basket. SERRV fair trade hand-crafted gifts are for sale including baskets, scarves, jars, jewelry, nativities and many other items. These gifts come from India, Central America, and Africa. Nativities are for sale, as well as nativity craft kits. Alternative gifts are also available in the form of contributions to Rural Ministry, Heifer Project, and the Presbyterian Education Board of Pakistan which educates young women and men in an interfaith setting. Home-baked pies and breads are on sale to benefit Rural Ministry and COMPEER angels to support the church’s COMPEER ministry. Light Refreshments are also served. The Festival is open on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. All are welcome.
